Arrive at least 30 minutes before your scheduled start time, or earlier if collecting your bib on the day. Registration closes 15 minutes before each race start.

Weather & What to Pack

April in Sydney brings delightful autumn conditions, perfect for distance running. Expect mild morning temperatures between 14-18°C at the early 6:30am starts, warming to 18-23°C by mid-morning. Humidity is typically comfortable, though occasional morning fog may occur. Early sunrise means good visibility throughout all races. Dress in light layers you can shed as you warm up. The moderate temperatures reduce heat stress, making it ideal for attempting a personal best. Bring sunscreen and a hat for post-race, and ensure adequate hydration despite the cooler conditions.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to be a member to participate?

No, SMC Road Races are open to everyone. You can register for a single race online or purchase multiple races in advance to save money. Non-members are very welcome.

Can I register on race day?

All runners receive a timing chip and bib number, professionally timed results from the electronic timing system, drinks, snacks, and support from friendly volunteers throughout the race.

Which half marathon start time should I choose?
