Quick Facts
Getting There
7th Brigade Park is located at the corner of Newman Road and Delaware Street, Geebung, in Brisbane's northern suburbs. Street parking is available around the park. Geebung is accessible via Gympie Road, approximately 12km north of the Brisbane CBD. Allow time to collect your race bib from the Registration Tent at least 30 minutes before the 2:00 PM first race start.
Weather & What to Pack
June in Brisbane brings cool, pleasant autumn conditions ideal for running. Temperatures typically range from 10–21°C, with low humidity and mostly sunny skies. Morning frosts are rare but early evenings can be cool, so a light layer is recommended post-race. With first races starting at 2:00 PM, conditions are generally comfortable. Hydration is still important — bring a water bottle, particularly for longer distances.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I register for Round 12?
You can register online via the Queensland Running calendar (closes 10:00 AM on race day), by email to queenslandrunning@gmail.com by 9:30 AM Saturday, or in person at the Registration Tent on the day. Casual entry fees are payable on arrival.
What distances are run at Program 1 events?
Program 1 events offer a range of distances from 500m up to 8000m. All events are timed. A Fun and Fitness Walk covering the 500m course is also available — untimed and open to all, including dogs.
Can children participate?
Absolutely. Queensland Running is very family-friendly. Junior entry is $8 casual or $50 for a full season. Shorter distances like 500m and 800m are great for young runners, and the Fun and Fitness Walk is open to everyone.
Do I need a race bib?
Yes. All runners are issued a numbered bib to wear on the front of their shirt or on a belt. New runners are encouraged to email their entry in advance so a bib can be allocated before the event. Existing runners with 2025 bibs will need to collect new 2026 bibs before their first race.
Is there a season entry option?
Yes. A Prepaid Season Entry covers all regular meets for the season at $50 (under 18), $60 (adult), or $150 (family). Season entrants don't need to complete weekly entry forms and receive a free sausage sizzle at the final meet.
